As a junior doctor, I will probably only be assisting with the incisional hernia revision, but may be allowed to perform the cholecystectomy myself, so I primarily read up on this case and prepare myself for it. I’m just getting to the nursing office when my phone rings – it’s the surgery dispatcher.
